Mini Star Trek Progress

This is where I'm at on the Mini Star Trek cross stitch project. All the characters are done. I'm about half done with the names of the characters. Now I have to figure out what I'm going to do for a border and I want to put something at the top. Perhaps the words "to boldly go" or something like that, and a little Enterprise ship somewhere. After a week of gorgeous weather, we are having a rainy day, which I am enjoying immensely. The cleaned gutter is working perfectly. There is no more waterfall coming down in front of the back door. It was worth the effort. The knee is healing. I have been able to sleep in my bed the past 2 nights, fairly comfortably too, for the first time since spraining my knee. I have enjoyed the sleep so much, and I think getting sleep is helping the knee heal faster. I've got times during the day with no pain. I'm also getting some energy back. Beading

I have started beading again. I've got several projects I started and haven't finished yet. I hope to maybe get some of those done this year. I am currently working on a spiral rope to turn the waving triangle  in the picture above into a necklace. I made that triangle two years ago. I've also got a fringe necklace that needs to be finished, some beaded beads that never got done, a couple bead embroidery projects, a netted necklace, a peyote bracelet, a couple Christmas ornament covers, goodness! I need to catch a case of finishitis. I have not been beading because my eyesight is not so good for doing work with little tiny things anymore, even with bifocals. I have bought a couple magnifiers over the past couple years that helped some, but not quite good enough. I have to bend my neck down in a way that causes it to start aching when using them. WIPs For Today

Thought I'd post a couple WIP pics. I've been working on this cardigan for the next layette set. I just need to find some buttons for it. I started the hat for it. I don't know if I'm going to continue making these for this whole year, but for now I'm content to make another set. I need to finish the black and white set I'm making for the nephew and his wife, who are expecting any day now. I just need to get the edging on the blanket fabric. I've also been working on the Felt Applique stocking . It's coming along nicely. Don't have much snow out on the ground. Maybe 4 to 6 inches. Kind of unusual for this time of year, but not unheard of. I remember having a winter when I had my shop (early 2000's) where I needed to have my parking lot plowed only 3 times the whole winter. We have had several dry cold days. Even a bit of sunshine, which felt so good. Snow/freezing rain is supposed to move in tonight. I'm ready for spring. Took down the Christ...
